Dame Shirley du Bass is selling off her rags to help the young gays.
Fancy frocks, from rare Chanel and Christian LaCroix pieces, and other just lovely things like a signed jewellery case, will be flogged for-to benefit the lives of young LGBT peeps.
‘Hey Big Spender’ (liking what you’ve done there…) will be hosted at Cafe de Paris, a mere pebble’s throw from London’s Glittering Leicester Square. Julian Bennett – of-off Queer Eye – will be your host.
Your fun will begin with a champagne and nibble-ette reception, and will feature Dame Shirl-themed performances from Four Poofs and a Piano.
Talking of Four Poofs and a Piano… Would you have an ensemble called Four Yids and a Mouth Organ? Of course you wouldn’t you ‘tards.
And to continue…. ‘Actor’ Christopher Biggins will be taking on the ‘role’ of auctioneer.
Talking of Christopher Biggins…
Shirl – who we just j’adore – did say the following:
‘I very much hope my fans will bid for them and raise monoey for the critical work Barnardo’s does with vulnerable young people in the gay community, helping to protect them from abuse and discrimination. Please dig deep everyone!’
Did we say j’adore already?
