Crazy as a bed bug and about the most fun you could have in a three-foot hat, fashion icon Isabella Blow died on Sunday. Here she is with Alexander McQueen from Vanity Fair.
Famous for her love of bonnetry and her sheer English eccentricity, fashion muse and editor Isabella Blow will be sorely missed. She was the woman who discovered Sophie Dahl and Stella Tennant, the visionary who helped Mr McQueen on his way and the person who once dragged a dirty chain – it was part of her outfit – all over the cream-coloured carpets at Karl Lagerfeld’s house. She died on Sunday following an operation for ovarian cancer.
