Get off me!

So, Mika comes along to Shepherd’s Bush, brings thousands of people - from tiny little children so small you could pop them in a pocket, to grandmas - a lot of them dressed up in garish costumes and proceeds to drive them into a frenzy of jumping up and down on the spot and declaring him a true pop genius… Then he comes backstage and wants his picture taken with our mate Kim. He should be so lucky… Come see more pics of the happy event and read what went on.

Living up to everyone’s sky-high expectations, Mika rocked west London last night. Predictions are it will stay rocked for quite some time. Kicking off with ‘Relax (Take It Easy)’ and winding through the tracks on his album, highlights were ‘Big Girl (You Are Beautiful)’ - ‘Are there any big girls in the house tonight?’ there were - including Mika’s lovely mum - a cover of the Eurythmics’ ’Sweet Dreams’ and the finale of ‘Lollipop’ where Mika and the band came back on dressed as, well, the Banana Splits. Interesting though, that the track that really got the place jumping (we’re being literal here) was The Jackson 5’s ‘I Want You Back’, which Mr. Mika did to perfection (and you don’t fuck with no Motown records!)

This genius night was attended by Sir Paul Smith of the Multi-coloured Stripe and Dermot O’Leary among others and continued into the wee small hours backstage. Here are some of the people who dodged the velvet rope to get back there.

Big girls, you are beautifulNot too much, is it?

I am personally loving the lady bears. I would eat their porridge any day of the week.
