Fag Hag Diary

Thursday

Today, FH talks economics.

What?

‘Let’s be honest, I have enough money never to have to work again.’ Who said this? Was it 61-year-old Donald Trump who’s spent over forty years amassing his 2.9 billion fortune? Or was it Bill Gates talking about hs 56 billion little notes with Georgie Washington’s face on the front? Actually, it was a teenager who’s been paid quite nicely to do a few wizard films – yup, the lady who claims she never has to work again is girl-with-bad-wig from Harry Potter abracadabra movies, Emma Watson, who is said to have made about five million English pounds.

Now I hate to come over all greedy, but five million? Enough never to have to work again? You’re having a tin bath aren’t you love? It may stretch that far in Cambridge or wherever you’re from but in London England, that little sum will get you nowt.

A three-bed house in Notting Hill if you’re lucky and a few years picking up the tab at Mahikis and you’ll be cleaned out. So stop shouting your mouth off about your vast personal fortune and start saving. Two words – Gary and Coleman.
