Madonna to sing on Annie Lennox charity song!

Our Annie.

A whole host of singin’ ladies – including Madonna – are to appear on a new charity single by Granny Annie Lennox.

The song, which will raise funds for HIV/AIDS charity the Treatment Action Campaign, will feature 23 (count ’em!) female stars from past ‘n’ present, including Joss Stone, Shakira, Dido, Sealion Celine Dion, Gladys Knight, Bonnie Raitt, (breathe), Melissa Etheridge, Pink, KT Tunstall, Fergie and, well a bunch of others.

The album from which the single-ette will be taken is due for release in October. The song in question was written after Annie worked with Nelson Mandela’s 46664 AIDS charity. Oh, and it’s called ‘Sing’.

  4. Ive just received my promo copy of the album. There are some cracking collaborations on it, Annie’s duet with Lolly is a stand out, as is her duet with the Reynolds Girl who isnt dead. Sadly her duet with the blond one from the Fast Food Rockers is a bit of a disspointment.
