Can Hillary be America’s first gay president?

Hello!

If Bill Clinton was ‘America’s first black president’ (that’s what they called him!), then we think Hillary could well be (if no one switches them damn voting papers: you know what those people are like) ‘America’s first gay president’. Look at the evidence…

1. Hillary has been known to wear women’s clothes.

2. She appears on the cover of this month’s gayest magazine (unless you count Details) The Advocate.

3. She has lovely, well cared-for hair (well, she does now).

4. She has got a Celine Dion track as her campaign song.

5. She has marched in Gay Pride, erm, marches.

6. She always asks after a gennelman’s gennelman friend, should it be appropriate.

7. She managed to overlook her partner’s shagging-around ways. Which we applaud (his ways, her overlooking).

8. She says she’s never had sex with a woman.

And 9. and 10.

  1. I actually know something about this and please no one say ‘Oh, she doesn’t support gay marriage’. Of course she does but obviously she won’t get very far if she says so. It’s her rather than Obama (oh, bummer!) round these parts.

  2. Oh, how predictable that you equate having nice hair with being gay. Can nothing be taken seriuosly by gay men anymore?

  4. Now, Dennis, you know gays are not allowed to have a sense of humour or we will be portrayed as will o’ the wisps, flibbertygibbets and clowns. PS a prize for anyone who gets that reference.

  6. I’m still not convinced she will win the nomination, let alone the election. Plus Newt Gingrich may well be coming back into the arena for the Republicans, and he has scores to settle with the Clintons, obviously. So if she does make the nomination, it’ll be a tough ol’ fight.
