‘Ant and Dec should quit for nicking the cash’ says Paul O’Grady (we paraphrase, of course!)

'The robbing bastards'

Paul O’Grady – seen here in more glamorous days as Lily Savage (who we still miss!) – has said that if he’d been involved in anything like the Saturday Night Take-Away scandal, he’d prolly have handed in his resignation.

Quoth he: ‘If it was my show, I’d probably leave.’ Told you! ‘If you were running a pub and your name was over the door and someone was selling drugs in there then you’d be liable…’ Hmmm, we follow, go on…

‘If your name’s connected to a show…’ more than connected Paul: it’s their show! They produce and present! ‘but you don’t know what’s going on with it, you need to take more notice.’ Zackly!

Ant and Dec, who reckoned they knew nothing of the Jiggy Bank scam – ‘Who us guv? Never heard of it? We were actually off with a nasty case of tonsilitis on the dates you mention…’ – are going to give all the profits of the next series to charity ‘as a gesture of goodwill’.

  2. A great piece in the new Private Eye, with extracts of articles saying how they’re SO involved with the whole production process. Then last week’s statement of ‘their role as producers is a vanity title, they don’t know nuffink, guv’ … kick ’em both in the cunt, and be done with it.
