The Wapping Project. It’s in Wapping. And it’s a Project.

Ooh, what a Wapper

Ooh, innit brutal! This, fine diners, is a new restaurant experience known as The Wapping Project, mainly because it’s in Wapping (Easty London, but not the cool bit: you go to the back of beyond, and it’s behind there).

Combining art (the art menu changes almost as much as the food menu), eats – including its own in-house butchery – and all the glamour of a disused power station (honey, it worked for Tate Britain), The Wapping Project is the brainchild of theatre director Jules Wright and is highly frequented by all the journos working at the nearby News International.

Oh, and it has nice furniture upside the old engine things. See another picture after the jump, why don’t you?

Nice and airy

  1. Looks bloody grim to me. I don’t know: find any old outhouse, bung in a few designer chairs and call it a happening. Rubbish!
