DJ Tallulah is dead

RIP

Probably the best DJ in the world… no actually, strike that. The best DJ in the world – Tallulah – is dead.

He was shy of 60.

Known for playing the most cheeeeeenius disco music ever as well as every song you ever did love with your heart, soul and back bottom, Tallulah was a regular on the London scene until his death, and had been playing at Heaven for over 40 years. Wherever he played, it was New York 1977 ie. Sex, drugs, all the right sunglasses and a whole load of fun. And maybe something shiny.

Only last year, Tallulah was the first inductee into the House of Homosexual Culture’s Hall of Fame.

  3. There should be a statue of Talullah put in Trafalgar Square – he was the embodiment of everything fabulous, a true gay icon in the real sense of the word and one of the brightest shining stars in our London nightlife – Talullah – we will all miss you madly xxx

  4. “It is with great and genuine sadness that we at Wild Fruit heard of the passing of one of clubland’s premier characters and much loved personalities Tallulah. To say that Tallulah will be much missed is a vast understatement. Tallulah will leave a big hole in the lives of many, many friends and his unique charm, with and sparkling personality will be utterly irreplaceable on the scene.”
