Bang goes Danny Dyer’s cred (and boom goes his bank balance) as he gets ready to wear some hopefully form-fitting 19th century trousers in the up-coming glittering West End production of Oliver-exclamation-mark that they’re finding the Nancy for on BBC of a Saturday evening.
Only thing is, mouthy old Danny, who’s perfect for brutal Bill Sykes, couldn’t keep ‘is norf and sarf shut about the quality of the Nancy on offer: ‘I don’t fancy any of those Nancys,’ he said at a party last night. ‘They’re all rubbish. It’s more like “I’ll do anything to be on TV”.’
He’ll be appearing (and singing one song!) opposite – we hope – Fat Nancy and Rowan Atkinson as Fagin.
