So, you know My Fair Lady? You know Audrey ‘she’s my style icon, she is’ Hepburn played Eliza in the orige screen version, and Martine McCutcheon got an Olivier and everything for the stage version, and c) and d)? Well, Keira Knightley’s been/being/gone lined up to play the lead in a movie remake being produced by Duncan Kenworthy and Cameron Mackintosh.
It’s all true.
Despite being called an update, the film will still be set in 1912 – BUT will use real life locations and stuff. Presumably in and around London’s glittering Covent Garden, replete with Just-falafs, gays bumming in and around the entrance to Jubilee Hall gym, and those fucking irritating street ‘artistes’ who think spraying themselves in silver Crazy Color and standing still for half an hour constitutes entertainment.
Oh ps. We reckon Daniel Craig should play Henry Higgins. That would be hot.
