So it’s been a funny few weeks, skin-wise.
So there was a trip one place sunny that we won’t mention ’cause it’s just showing off (Miami*) then another trip somewhere else that was also sunny that we won’t mention ’cause it’s just showing off (yacht on the Med*) then there was another that we so won’t mention ’cause it really is showing off (lips are sealed*) then there were intermittent periods in Big London when it was crazily hot – all resulting in an upper epidermis that resembled that episode of SATC when Samantha gets an acid peel and it’s a bit, you know, get-off-me.
But did we fret? Oh no we didn’t. Instead, we reached for INA Crystals White Gold Radiant Skin Tonic. For why? ‘Cause a friend actually bought it in Space NK by accident (we sympathise), gave it to us, we subsequently thought, ‘Ooh this could work in this here parched skin scenario,’; low and behold, it did. Really well. Stopped the peeling and everything. And was fun/hassle-free to apply with its handy spray mechanism.
The science bit: it’s got white gold crystal salt in it (from the Himalayas! Fancy. Now that’s for skin tone and texture); it’s got essential oils in it (skin rejuvenation!); it’s got witch hazel in it (skin renewal); and it’s got allantoin in it (also for skin renewal. Keep up). And… stick it in your fridge and it’s extra cooling!
And yes, you’d be perfectly correct in thinking this is a shameless plea to beauty PR type people to send us giftage in the dolly post. ie. We need more. The sun may have gone in but GMTV said it’s coming back next week. After all, you can never have enough hats, gloves and post sun-exposure skin preparations.
