Look who’s headlining at London’s glittering Pride this year!

It's a joke, right?

Is it Diana Ross? You wish! Is it the lead singer off-of The Three Degrees? Dream on! Is it perchance someone off-of Eternal? Nup, not even.

It is in fact one Patti Boulaye. A Diana Ross wannabe who won New Faces back in the 70s and went on to make the British version of Saturday Night Fever (Music Machine – you can just tell by that title, can’t you?), she has since graced the stage of Eurovision (she was the middle ‘Riverdance’ bit, something about Africa it was) and vocally supported the Conservative Party.

What a great choice for our big day on 5th July, everyone! Oh, and it’s all kicked off by Boris Johnson, esteemed Mayor of London, who once said of Civil Partnerships that if a man can marry a man then why not a dog.

The clever businessfolks this year will not be selling pink Union Jack flags but buckets of rotten tomatoes. We’ll take two!

  1. oh my – England must be such a fun place to live in… At least we have a gay mayor. But no great music acts here at gay pride next week end either. but who needs gay pride if you can eat raspberry cupcakes in piece and go shopping instead?

  7. I’m a little worried. I’m still waiting for my call from the Pride people – who if you’re reading this – I’m still available. Have piano, will travel, will work for food.
