Hilarious and apparently true story of the week: Cher is to play Catwoman in the new Batman film! For real.
Christopher Nolan (director, probably gay) has decided that the surgically-rearranged one would be just purr-fect (oh, just try and stop us) for the role, which she would play opposite Johnny Depp’s Riddler.
‘Cher is Nolan’s first choice to play Catwoman,’ said a studio exec (told you!). ‘The new Catwoman will be the absolute opposite of Michelle Pfeiffer and Halle Berry’s purring creations.’ Which can only be a good thing, right?
We were actually wondering the other day if, with these levels of surgery, Cher could ever again play a human being. That wasn’t an ageing Thai ladyboy.

I guess I’m about to lose my gay card because my feeling is after Heath Ledger’s phenomenal Joker, Cher as Catwoman? They’ve got to be kidding? Unless Nolan’s idea for Catwoman is some old broad in a house with a thousand cats, tetering on the brink of madness, I think I’ll have to pass.
I thought Angelina Jolie would have been a much better pick as a Catwoman. I really can’t picture Cher as Catwoman. Johnny Depp would be SUPERB as the Riddler.
I applaud this idea! I’d buy advanced tickets even — and I never ever go to the cinema. With that said, I have it on good authority that this ‘older Cat Woman’ role could be offered to Grace Jones if Cher says no. Also groovy.
Is it cool to diss Cher for her choice of surgeries? Maybe for you but, from where I sit, she’s looking pretty good. Cher would be great as Catwoman.
