Damian Hirst makes a tonne – or whatever is rhyming slang for £70 million – at auction

A load of bull? No. By now you’ll have all heard that ‘controversial’ artist Damian Hirst has made a packet – £70 mill so far – from the Sotheby’s auction of his works. And that was only the first day.

Personally we think hooray to that, but that’s because we’re not red top reading/GMTV watching/scab picking/pork scratching eating/sofa sores suffering idiota who’ll happily forget the plight of the polar bears get angry about what is or isn’t art.

Well they can, in the wonderful words of Pamela Anderson, ‘Suck it’. Box it up and sell it Pammy, that phrase work for so many things.

  1. Wonder how much he’ll make today. Wish I’d thought to pickle dead things to make a quick buck. Fair play to him.
