Those two up there are the offspring of Mr. and Mr. White Lion, and we thought you’s might likey. Just ’cause it’s Friday (hoorah!) and just ’cause these photos are very-very-very-very-very-very cute.
The story goes like this…
Years and years ago (we’re talking the year the Sydney Mardi Gras beganeth. Yes ladies, we know stuff) the white lions indigenous to the Timbavarti region of South Africa were at risk of becoming extinct because of nasty-nasty poachers. So the lovely people of the Sambona Wildlife Reserve took them into captivity (for their own safety, mind) and have only just released the pride back into the wild, where they are flourishing. Flourishing, we tell you. Double hoorah!
