So we totally had a bit of a special needs moment just then, when there we were trotting through Big London’s glittering Covent Garden in search of a bread-less snack (it’s this week’s goal. Cut out bread, drop a dress size. It’s very Closer magazine of us), and almost out of nowhere a man in a hard (black) hat started making very loud noises and gesturing (not loud gesturing, just gesturing. Though figuratively the gestures were loud) and then out of the nowhere that was already nowhere, a whole area to the back of the Royal Opera House had been cordoned off in a nee-naw-nee-naw fashion (this is going somewhere, stick with us), and then piff-paff-poof, there were billions of screaming middle-aged types and young-lings, all angling their googlies at something – and to cut what could quite easily turn into a dissertation short, it was Charles and Camilla coming out the rear of the ROH for a birthday walkabout amongst the peeps. Ta-daaaa!
It verily made our day, it did. And as you can see from the above, Charles is a big fan. And as you can see from the below, Camilla totally ignored us.
