Whitney’s comeback single, ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength’. Which is spooky ’cause neither did we until a minute or so ago.

Her name is not Janet.

So this is it. We actually heard it a week ago but totally forgot to mention it – got waylaid and then, well, laid – so here it is, better late than not at all, or something. It’s called ‘I Didn’t Know My Own Strength’ and we’re still trying to find the song in it, but then we said that about Bucks Fizz’s ‘Making Your Mind Up’ first time round, which just proves, you know, something.

Tra-la-laa after the break.

  2. This is dreary and her voice is completely shot. Just say no to drugs – CRACK IS WHACK. Maybe if she had done Land of Make Believe by Bucks Fizz this would have been better. David Foster who gave Whit the over the top Bodyguard songs brings this subdued dirge to us. How much editing was needed to create the less than 4 minutes of drivel.

  3. I saw Bucks Fizz live twice back in the day. I had to win a phone-in radio contest and everything.

  4. OMG, what the HELL happened to her voice?

Well, crack, obviously. But still, bloody hell.

The song is terrible as well.

Going to listen to ‘it’s not right, but it’s ok, instead’
