Today’s potentially squish-squish story that might make you sick in your mouth a little bit if you’re not a feeling the love this Monday morn…

‘Look! It doesn’t move’You know what it’s like; you’re not anybody nowadays unless you’ve got a gaggle of adopted kiddiwinks from around the globe but, as cynical as we are, this one actually made us a little bit soft on the inside, crunchy on the outside. This is aunty Elton as seen yesteryore with little baby Lev, who he hopes to adopt from an HIV orphanage.

Elt and partner David FurnitureLand visited the orphanage in the Ukraine this weekend and having previously said he’s too old to adopt (which may be true at 62 – ooh, a rhyme) Elton changed his mind when he clapped his bespectacled eyes on Lev. David is apparently keen too. There might just be one problem. The Ukraine does not allow gay men to adopt. Oh.

But should they be granted the right to take little Lev home, he will have to take his new father’s name, but who the daddy? The Daily Mail is suggesting Lev Eltonovich John or Lev Reginaldovich Dwight. We’re thinking Lev Davidovich Furnished-to-a-High-Standard. That’s much better. Any other suggestions?
