Lady BAFTA has shot her load. And it’s tasty and good!

Monique, based on the TV personality, Mo'nique

This is the lady who most deserves a BAFTA, as presented by Jonathan Ross, hopefully in his very last performance now he’s been binned by/amicably parted company with the Beeb. She is Mo’nique (don’t know what letter the apostrophe indicates can be…) and she is hands-down cheeeeenius in Precious: based on the novel… oh, you know the score.

‘Cause the BAFTA noms have been released. Out of their box, they are. They’re spread-eagled for all to peruse.

Avatar, An Education and Hurt Locker all share the most noms (like 45 each or something), and while we get Avatar and An Education (neither of ’em a patch on Precious, mind) we don’t get Hurt Locker. Love a Kathryn Bigelow (director), love a man in uniform but that movie is totally snoreworthy.

Another injustice we have detected is a lack of noms for A Single Man; just Colin Firth for the lead role and Nicholas Hoult for Orange Newcomer or what have you. Oh, and love that Fish Tank got a nom.

Anyways, don’t listen to us gabbing on about it when you can read the entire list as copy and pasted from another website run with people with more time on their hands. Over the jump for that…
