Look at this gorgeous little geek giving Obama some pointers in his speech at the GLAAD awards

You go, sista!

And while we marvel at Will Phillips and wonder how a ten-year-old can have his head screwed on like this, be so eloquent on the subject of gay equality and so measured in his arguments even to the Prez, somewhere there’s a Catholic priest touching himself.

  4. you know when you see kids out in little KKK oufits, hand in hand with their loving parents? And you think “Grrr, that’s so WRONG to influence kids that way”.?
The only difference is that you agree with this kid.
The istrumentalisation of minors is always wrong.

  5. No, the difference is not that we agree with him, Jesus, it’s that he has the right opinion.

  6. Jesus, if the kid was making a stance against racism, would you still call it ‘instrumentalisation of minors’?

  7. Yes champers and Jon, I would. Because here you have a child in an adult environment being used to put foreward an adult arguement. Not right. Of course we have a duty to teach children right from wrong, and we should also teach them the importance of standing up to be counted, But this makes my toes curl.

  8. I don’t think he is ‘being used’. Every report about this kid, including those that come from his own mouth, state that he took it upon himself to question the need to say the pledge of allegiance. No-one made him do it and no one is forcing him to continue to speak up on these issues. he seems too intellignet to be used by anyone as a puppet.
