We never did get it, now, after 25 long years, we’ve been proved right…

Don't fancy yours much

What’s the funniest thing Lenny Henry’s ever been in? (It’s old, but so topical) Dawn French!

But no more. The First Lady of TV Comedy has finally caved into a quarter of a century of pressure from us pleading with her to just leave the entirely unfunny other half, have some fun, put it about a bit and given said other half the slip.

Sadness for them and the daughter Billie but, as we’ve told you all along Dawn, it’s for the best. Now move on. And don’t let him have your Alison Moyet CDs.

  1. I thought I was the only one that didn’t think he was funny.

  2. He really is that embarrassing uncle, isn’t he? Ugh.

  3. Haven’t they had a semi-open relationship for a long time anyway? I wonder what prompted the split. Just bored of each other, perchance. I somehow wonder how anyone can bore of Dawn French off-of round.

  4. Well, that’s kinda’ sad … a disappointment! BTW: Lenny Henry’s turn as Paul Robeson on Radio 4 was remarkably good. Maybe he should have been doing drama all this time. Best of luck to Dawn! Please lose weight (only ‘cos I worry about you!). Thx.
