Prop 8 is unconstitutional! Well, we could have told you that and we don’t even have a constitution

Another one bites the dust!

Yes, you Californian gayers, a very clever judge – without the benefit of an English-style wig (how do they do it?) – has deemed that stopping the gays from getting married makes no damn sense in the world. Not none. Not even a little bit.

Cue religiouses frothing at the fanny with sheer hatred.

It was found that a). gay marriage had nothing to do with religion, but was a state issue, so fuck right off b). gays getting married didn’t bring about the downfall of civilisation as we know it (no, they really did look into this) and c). gay marriage is a good thing because it keeps them from bumming openly in the streets.

Well, that’s the theory anyways.

But it’s obviously not the end of the story as religiouses will be taking this all the way to the Supreme Court. Maybe even to Broadway!

  1. The whole Prop 8 thing just reeks of hypocrisy. I mean, they don’t pass “no bloody letting breeders get divorced left and right” to safeguard civili(s)(z)ation as we know it, do they? Or requiring, nay, forcing married heteros to produce children (supposedly the sole purpose of marriage), do they? Those are the laws we need — if we wish to be perfectly consistent in our idiocy, that is.
