Sacha Baron Cohen to play Freddie Mercury exclamation mark.

Killer queen.

Sacha Baron Cohen is to play Freddie Mercury in a film about Queen.

Say that again?

Brian May – the one with the hair married to the bird out of EastEnders – has revealed that Sacha Baron Cohen is to play Freddie Mercury in a film about Queen.

Peter Morgan, who wrote Frost/Nixon, is writing the screenplay. Which doesn’t actually fill us with great hope seeing as we walked out of that after 20 minutes.

It’s true what they say – you don’t buy tequila, you rent it.

Sacha Baron Cohen – the one married to the ginge off-of Home & Away (you should hear what we have to say about that one. Trouble, that’s all we can say) – is to play Freddie Mercury in a film about Queen. Freddie Mercury is quite probably the greatest rock star of all time. Yes, even better than Limahl.

Freddie Mercury was gay you know.

  1. Now a movie about Limahl – I would go see that. Oh, and thanks for the article now all I can hear is “Anyone Can Fall In Love” sung by that Eastenders Bird Anita Dobson. Sat with her and her husband Brian May at a concert. They are loverly. Wouldn’t want to sit behind him with that hair though.
