Sad and wrong and twisted on so many levels!

See these two. Butter wouldn’t melt, right. Even I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter wouldn’t melt.

Now what these choice two have been charged with is… secretly filming their roommate, an 18-year-old lad, having gay sex and streaming it live on the interweb for the amusement of the public in general.

Said 18-year-old – Tyler Clementi – was so upset and betrayed when he found out that he jumped off New York’s George Washington Bridge to his death. Good work, you two!

Now, while we feel the most appropriate behaviour for poor Tyler would have been to have ripped the pair of them a new arsehole each – live on the interweb – then got their arses thrown out of college, you can imagine where your 18-year-old head would have been if it happened to you. And they were his high school friends!

They – Dharun Ravi and Molly Wei – obviously didn’t think it would end like this, but as long as gay men’s lives are considered some sort of comedy show – often with the gay man’s full collaboration (you know who you are everyone from Four Poofs and a Piano on up!) – then that’s what happens.

  1. Hope they carry this inescapable guilt with them for the rest of their lives. And that each time they cross that bridge, they remember what asses they are and maybe even follow their “friend”‘s lead over the edge.

  2. Their guilt is their punishment, if indeed they have any humanity.

  3. Sorry about this, but when did people start killing themselves when they got a bit of shit at school? When I was at school people used to bully people all the time…and heavily. I was at boarding school and was beaten frequently and made to do things like run arond a football pitch wearing just my underwear, amongst other things. I don’t know why kids of this generation feel they have to end their lives when they are going through a tough time? Are todays kids all just drama queens or what? Is it a trend? Is it something they have seen on tv, or internet and suicide has actually become a socially acceptable option to solve a problem in this century?

  4. Kinell,

Being secretly filmed having gay sex is NOT the same as being dared to run around a football pitch in your underwear (some people don’t even wear underwear doing that, and they enjoy it!). It is a massive breach of trust and privacy. Being filmed having sex, especially gay sex (sad but true in this homophobic world), and having it put on the internet is something that could easily ruin your entire life and career. Clearly this boy has some insecurities about himself and his sexuality, and these “friends” of his decided to exploit that because they thought it was funny. I don’t advocate suicide; I’m totally against it no matter what. But I can totally understand how this kid must have felt. It’s absolutely horrible what these two did and they should seriously be massively ashamed of themselves. Cunts.

  5. Vile, vile creatures. Presumably, the munters were driven by jealousy. Look at them! It’s like last call at a Helen Keller singles night.

  6. Andrew, have a look again at what I wrote. I didn’t say being filmed having sex is the same as what happened to me at school and I didn’t say I was dared to run around a football pitch in my underwear, I was forced to by a PE teacher. The same PE teacher who used to humiliate me and other kids by any means he saw fit. I absolutely agree what these kids did was utterly awful. My question was why did the victim decide to go and throw himself off a bridge rather than deal with the situation in another way? So many people go through the hell of bullying in school and the workplace and humiliating moments in their lives but don’t kill themselves and with the increasing number of suicides amongst young people I was simply asking the question why? It’s not something kids used to do, but now it is.
