‘It gets better,’ says Alexander Skarsgard, before we run our fingers through his hair and undo his bra in one flawless move.

alexander skarsgard it gets better

He may have a completely different accent to when we interviewed him last year, but Alexander Skarsgard is pushing all the right buttons with his addition to the ‘It Gets Better’ anti-gay bullying campaign. For which we salute him, in all the usual places.

‘We have to teach our children that, not only through our words but also through our actions, that every single human being has equal value,’ says Alexander. Always Alexander, never Alex.

‘To bully someone – or for society to discriminate against someone – because they have a different sexual orientation, it’s unacceptable.

‘I don’t have any children yet but the day I do, I will make sure that before they walk, before they can even crawl, they know how important that is and I hope you do the same.’

  1. good for him. you’d think though, as an actor who presumably has to learn lines, that he’d have memorised his speech rather than have to keep glancing down at it balanced on his [perfectly formed] knee.
