You remember Peter and Hazel-‘Scary’-Mary Bull, right? Owners of some shithole B&B down in Cornwall who are very happy to offer their public services to absolutely everyone – unless absolutely everyone includes gay people. Because it is the Bulls’ firmly held belief that gays are not as good as everyone else, and therefore do not deserve the right to stay in their very own piece of Eden – even though these gays pay in pound sterling just like everybody else. Their dirty gay money just isn’t welcome.
It is our firmly held belief that Peter and Hazelmary Bull are cunts.
Two gays in question, who had the temerity to try and stay at the Bulls’ B&B that is open to the public, sued. And won. That’s because they had the law on their side – you know, that Equality Law that says if you’re offering a public service it has to be available to everyone. Blacks, Jews, gays, even Christians!
But back in the world where men part seas and the entire natural world can fit on a boat the size of the Cutty Sark, the Bulls still think they’re the victims. That old chestnut!
So, funded by the Christian Institute who – forgive us Father if we’re barking up the wrong olive tree here – should really be using their money to feed poor people in Africa or help old ladies cross roads or pay for chocolate fountains for Dawn French, the Bulls are taking their case to the Supreme Court. Because the Supreme Court doesn’t have anything better to be doing with its time. No, the highest court in Her Majesty’s Great Britain will be rolling its eyes whilst listening to the rabid logic of two people who should be spending their God-given time on hair-care rather than dragging their repellent brand of hatred through the world’s courts. Murderers, rapists, fraudsters, greedy divorcees? Back of the queue!
This is what the Christian Institute has to say, by way of an explanation:
‘Not everyone will agree with Peter and Hazelmary’s beliefs, but a lot of people will think it is shame that the law doesn’t let them live and work according to their own values under their own roof.
‘Something has gone badly wrong with our equality laws when good, decent people like Peter and Hazelmary are penalised but extremist hate preachers are protected.’
Racists too would like to work according to their firmly held beliefs but, well, tough titties. As for ‘good, decent people’? We’ll be the judge of that.
These crazy religiouses - who even Jesus thinks are cunts - are taking their right to hate the gays to the highest court in the land.,
