The Streisland family, pictured here relaxing at home with hair, have decided to do a duet. Strange but true. True but a little strange.
‘When I heard the things he’s recorded, the musicianship, the sound of his voice, it’s like he has a little chamber music orchestra right in his vocal chords,’ Barbra Streisland (the mother) told someone off-of tellyV about her 45-year-old gay son Jason, whose father is, was and always will be Elliot Gould. ‘I don’t know what it is. His sweetness, his inventiveness musically.’ Which is kind of how parents generally think about their children.
‘When I came home from work,’ perhaps a torrid love scene with Kris Kristofferson, maybe acting as a 45-year-old $600-an-hour hooker in Nuts, ‘we would sing together. And then when he was 15, I heard this gorgeous hum from behind his door.’ We’re assuming she doesn’t mean sex toys being operated. ‘A few years ago he said, “You know I’ve started to sing and work on some music,” and I said, “Really?” And this is a tough spot to enter that profession for him, I suppose. I said, “Jason, I have to sing with you. You have to be on my duets album”.’
Did we mention there’s going to be a duets album? No? There’s going to be a duets album. Of duets. With other people. Some of whom she may or may not be related to. And there finishes the story.
Babs and gay son Jason working on a duet. Now, that could be weird...,
