Someone really needs to get over it! But really.

A bus load of passengers was left stranded somewhere up north (might have been Rotherham) when the bus driver, a Christian with deeply held beliefs, refused to board it thereby refusing to do his job. His reason? It had one of our tasty and delicious Some People Are Gay. Get Over It! posters on the side, as illustrated here.

How inflammatory! The idea that some people are gay and that people should just leave them alone! It’s enough to move the baby Jesus himself to throwing something at a wall. Maybe an ashtray.

So the Christian with deeply held beliefs, which don’t however extend to the stoning of women who have sex before marriage (he no doubt got on a bus that featured some of those on posters on the side), was replaced. First Group have refused to divulge whether any action was taken against him. We assume not.

  2. Wonder if he ever drove a bus with an advert for tights on it? Doesn’t the bible have something to say about mixed fibres?

  3. Or if there was ever a poster featuring anybody who’s ever been divorced, say, or had a baby outside of marriage, say. I could go on.

  5. This incident really saddens me, and seeing the comment posted on the website make me feel like I am being hated by religious people just because I am not a heterosexual.

    The link to the story:

I have tried to add my own comment, but it has not gone through. But here goes:

This driver’s attitude, and many of the comments here demonstrates why the awareness poster and campaigns are necessary to help eradicate the discrimination shown on LGBTs.

One of the comments here said “noone cares if they’re gay” : in reality, many people do care, just look at this driver. He cares enough to actually to refuse to carry out his job, and stop a bus load of people getting to where they want to go.
That poster does not call for him to have sex with another man.

In life, there are parents who disown their kids for being LGBT. People have committed suicide because they are discriminated against for being LGBT

One comment says “I don’t want (gay/homosexuality) rammed down my throat”: Noone is ramming it down anyone’s throats. The poster is merely saying that LGBT people exist. And that LGBT people do not harm anyone by existing. As for ramming sexuality down one’s throat: heterosexuals do that all the time and LGBT people don’t mind it.

it’s only EQUALITY. Get over it
