MPs – especially Tories – would like a 32% pay rise. Because they’re worth it.

Victim mentality

69% of Members of the UK Parliament – many of whom went blue in the hair this week arguing that lazy, scrounging, dirty, disgusting, devil-spawn people on benefits should get a below-inflation rise in their benefits (1% and that’s your lot, you greedy bastards!) – have decided that they need a pay rise. A big one. Double figures! Higher! Higher!

Yes, those people who thought that this was the moment the very rich should get a tax cut from 50% down to 45%, because it wouldn’t make any difference anyways, think that they deserve a break too. Especially as many of those in the cabinet have already benefited from that tax break. How much of a rise, you ask? 10%? Don’t be silly. Fine wine doesn’t buy itself you know. 20%? Come on! Second houses cost money, even if you are swizzing the general public by ‘renting them’ to your family members. 30% Hmmm, not bad. 32%?

OK then. As it’s you.
