Let’s treat ourselves to another look at Sam Bailey tearing that little Scottish lad a new arsehole on Saturday night

Five points:

1. How funny to sing ‘And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going’ ahead of the public vote to chuck someone out!

2. At what stage do you think Anthony would have gone if people in Scotland actually voted for the act they liked the most instead of just the Scot?

3. Was it a little graceless of Nicole to try and hog the limelight during Sam’s big moment?

4. Was it even worth having a final when it was such a foregone conclusion? (There aren’t enough Scottish people with inside telephones when the gulf between the talent levels is this wide).

5. How many times on Sunday’s results show were people grateful and proud and humbled?

  1. Oh, I don’t think there was any way to steal any thunder from old Sam. Nicole was just keeping up!

  2. Poor cow. She looks like a sofa with a cat sat on it. Not a bad attempt (it takes the two of them to pull it off, though) but nowhere near the force of nature that is Jennifer Holliday. Ask YouTube nicely for ‘My Favourite Broadway’ and you’ll see how it should be done. And with a do that makes her look like a Christmas present as well…

  3. That Jennifer Holliday performance is ridiculous. Not so much singing as chewing. Fun though!
